Private Training Session
Dog Private Training Sessions with Personalized Instruction
Every dog is unique, and that’s exactly why I focus on private dog training sessions. When we work one-on-one, I can really get to know your dog, their quirks, fears, and strengths. Together, we’ll build trust, better behavior, and a stronger bond that lasts long after the session ends.
A Life Surrounded by Dogs
Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets. That’s where I learned patience, respect, and how rewarding it is to connect with an animal. Since 2013, I’ve taken that love and turned it into professional dog training.
I’m certified through Animal Behavior College in dog obedience, and I’m a Fear Free Certified Professional. On top of that, I’ve trained with experts at the Karen Pryor Academy, Dunbar Academy, and with Michael Shikashio. Over the years, I’ve learned everything from leash manners to clicker training and socialization techniques. All of it comes together to help your dog thrive.
Training Made Just for Your Dog
No two dogs are alike. That’s why private one-on-one dog training is so powerful. First, I observe your dog and figure out what makes them tick. Then I design exercises and lessons tailored just for them.
And I don’t leave you out of the process. I teach you how to reinforce these lessons at home. That way, your dog isn’t just learning during our sessions, they’re learning every day.
Positive, Evidence-Based Approach
I use positive reinforcement, which basically means encouraging good behavior instead of punishing the bad. Dogs respond best when they feel safe and understood. Together, we focus on building confidence, manners, and communication.
Whether it’s teaching basic commands, improving leash behavior, or correcting stubborn habits, the goal is always the same: a happy, confident dog and a calmer, more confident owner.
What Happens in a Private Dog Training Session?
Here’s how a typical dog training session works:
- Assessment: I watch your dog and talk with you about your goals.
- Custom Plan: Every exercise is designed to fit your dog’s personality and needs.
- Hands-On Training: You’ll learn how to guide your dog step by step.
- Follow-Up Tips: I give you tools and homework so progress keeps going at home.
Every session is hands-on and practical. You’ll leave feeling confident, and so will your dog.
Why Choose Private One-on-One Dog Training?
Group classes can be fun, but they don’t always work for every dog. Some dogs get distracted, others feel nervous. That’s where private one-on-one dog training comes in. You and your dog get my full attention. I can fix problems faster, teach skills effectively, and make sure you understand exactly how to continue training at home.
I’ve seen shy puppies grow bold, nervous adults calm down, and dogs with stubborn habits turn into well-mannered companions. Personalized attention makes all the difference.
Certifications That Show Commitment
Being certified isn’t just a piece of paper. It shows I’ve studied, practiced, and committed to using methods that are safe, compassionate, and backed by science. You can trust that your dog is learning in the best way possible.
